How Myofascial Release Resolves Dysfunction

When the body experiences repetitive strain, physical injury, or emotional trauma, the continuous fascial web acts as a storage matrix, locking in the memory of that stress to protect you. This causes the tissue to become dehydrated, thick, and rigidly bound. Myofascial release directly addresses these deep-seated restrictions through the application of sustained, gentle pressure. By holding the tissue at its area of restriction for three to five minutes, we honor the physiological timeline required for the fascia to safely warm up and melt. This process triggers a deep parasympathetic shift, signaling to the nervous system that it is safe to drop its guard. As the solidified tissue rehydrates and elongates, it safely unlocks stored tissue memory and trauma, releasing its grip on the underlying muscles to restore emotional ease, pain-free mobility, and fluid movement.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a specialized, web-like system of connective tissue that wraps continuously around every single structure inside your body. It is made primarily of collagen, elastin fibers, and a fluid, gel-like substance.

Rather than thinking of the body as a collection of separate parts, it is more accurate to view fascia as a seamless, head-to-toe body suit.

Fascia performs three critical physiological functions:

  • Separates and Connects: It keeps muscles isolated so they do not rub against each other, while simultaneously linking them together to coordinate smooth movement.

  • Transmits Force: It acts like a highly efficient suspension system, distributing mechanical tension and physical impact safely across your entire structure.

  • Retains Memory: It adapts to your repetitive postures, physical trauma, and emotional stress by thickening or dehydrating, which creates tight, restrictive bands.

At the heart of Be Well Fascia and Flora is the belief that emotional wellbeing is the foundation of a vibrant life. I am dedicated to providing the  deep healing energy of myofascial release in synergy with subtle floral vibrational therapy, thereby forging and facilitating the wisdom of body, soul and nature.

I have always resonated with a holistic approach to health, and was particularly drawn to hands on healing through structural manual therapy, myofascial release and energy healing.  I expanded into nutrition to strengthen my approach to systemic healing.

I first experienced the benefits of flower essences while receiving acupuncture, and gradually began to implement them with my own clients.  I continue to marvel at the powerful results imparted from these humble plant remedies. They perfectly complement myofascial restoration.

As the pace of our daily lives continues to accelerate I am called to bring these energetic modalities to the forefront, with the goal of empowering clients to regain and maintain physical and emotional equanimity.

A Note on Our Aligned Fee Structure
The pricing matrix is purposefully engineered around the numerology of the number 9, the universal symbol of completion, deep transformation, and structural integration. Just as myofascial release closes cycles of chronic restriction to return the body to wholeness, each session fee is numerically balanced to reduce back to this single digit of alignment: the 90-minute Initial Visit ($234), the 90-minute Treatment ($216), the 75-minute Treatment ($180), and the Flower Essence Consultation ($153). Choosing to bypass standard insurance fractional models ensures your financial investment completely mirrors the energetic and clinical goals of your long-term physical restoration.

*Superbills available for self submitted medical claims and HSA accepted.
